KAHILU THEATRE COVID SAFETY GUIDELINES
Your safety is our main priority. Kahilu Theatre strives to maintain the intent and direction of our founder, Richard Smart: to provide a place where the performing arts can flourish, a place that truly serves our community.
In an effort to remain aligned with this, we listened to the concerns of our community members and devised COVID policies that consider the health and safety of all attendees, performers, and employees; and is, at a minimum, in-line with CDC, State, and County health guidance and mandates.
The recent 46% increase in Hawai'i County COVID positive cases has prompted Kahilu Theatre to revise its policies in the best interest of community safety and well-being.
As of May 13, 2022, these are the COVID policies in place for our guests:
1. All visitors entering the building are:
-
required to wear masks while in the facility
-
encouraged to regularly wash their hands and use hand sanitizer. Sanitizing stations are available in the lobby.
2. To assure a clean and safe environment, we will continue with scheduled cleaning, fogging, and sanitizing of the performance hall.
Seating for mainstage performances is available at full capacity.
We do not require proof of vaccination or testing for audience members or visitors to the galleries.
We kindly ask anyone feeling ill to refrain from entering the building. Mainstage performances are also available live and on-demand at Kahilu.TV.
Kahilu's COVID policies are in place to assure that we are in compliance with the County and State Department of Health. Our policies can, do, and will change based on the latest advisory from our government.
