Kahilu Presents
20th Anniversary 'Ukulele & Slack Key Guitar Festival - KANIKAPILA
Saturday, November 19, 2022    4:00 PM
Price $30 (Kanikapila - playing with an instrument) / $25 (General Audience seating - not playing an instrument)
Join us today as the musicians say farewell to Kamuela with their Kanikapila concert. This truly is a one-of-a-kind performance as the musicians take the stage in a slightly less formal concert setting. The artists take turns leading each other in both song and story, finding new inspiration in the music they love to share. This performance will feature Hawaiian musicians Jeff Peterson, Sonny Lim, Honoka Katayama, Ledward Kaapana, Nathan Aweau, Mike Kaʻawa, and more!

After intermission, audiences with tickets with an instrument will be invited to join our guest artists on stage.  Please note there are limited tickets to play on stage with the artists.

Your safety is our main priority. Kahilu Theatre strives to maintain the intent and direction of our founder, Richard Smart: to provide a place where the performing arts can flourish, a place that truly serves our community.

In an effort to remain aligned with this, we listened to the concerns of our community members and devised COVID policies that consider the health and safety of all attendees, performers, and employees; and is, at a minimum, in-line with CDC, State, and County health guidance and mandates.

1. All visitors entering the building are:
· required to wear masks while in the facility
· encouraged to regularly wash their hands and use hand sanitizer. Sanitizing stations are available in the lobby.
2. To assure a clean and safe environment, we will continue with scheduled cleaning, fogging, and sanitizing of the performance hall.

Seating for mainstage performances is available at full capacity.

We do not require proof of vaccination or testing for audience members or visitors to the galleries.

We kindly ask anyone feeling ill to refrain from entering the building. Mainstage performances are also available live and on-demand at

Kahilu's COVID policies are in place to assure that we are in compliance with County and State Department of Health, and we also consider the comfort and safety of our staff, patrons, artists, and parents of students. Our policies can, do, and will change based on the latest advisory from our government.
