KPAC Fall 2020 - Acting/Musical Theatre/Monologue Writing & Performance/Theatre Games

This once-a-month Kahilu Youth Troupe class is for students who are already part of the Kahilu Youth Troupe, or would like to join.  The class is taught by Beth Dunnington, Director of the Youth Troupe (since 2010), and Stage Director of the Kahilu Youth Troupe productions of West Side Story, Spring Awakening, 13-the Musical, Grease, Godspell, Spelling Bee, and The Broadway in Hawaii concert series. Students will work on acting technique - rehearsing and performing  both monologues and songs using this technique.  We will also play online theatre games, and this semester we're adding monologue-writing/performance.  Every student will have a chance to write an original monologue and perform it in a showcase during the last class.

For fall semester, we'll be in a zoom room for all our classes.  Students ages 10 to 21 are welcome to join.

Four Saturdays (September 19th, October 10th, November 14th, December 12th), 9:30 am to 1:30 pm.  The cost is $120 for the semester plus a $3 registration charge.  Scholarships are available and applications must be submitted by 5:00 PM on Sunday, September 13.  Awards will be announced on September 14.   After completing your registration, an email confirmation will be sent to your attention.  At the bottom of this email confirmation will be a link for the Scholarship Application.  Fill it out in its entirety and send it back (electronically) to the Theatre by the deadline. Each scholarship applicant needs to fill out their own separate application.
