Call for Proposals: Proposals will be accepted through Café, www.CallForEntry.org starting January 3rd, 2017 through March 13th, 2017.
Kahilu Exhibits Juried Show
April 7th- June 2nd, 2017
Submission fee: $35.00 per entry; up to five works per artist.
Eligibility: Accepting 2D, 3D and video works completed since January 1st, 2013 by artists currently residing in the State of Hawai’i. Work executed under classroom/educational guidance or external supervision is not eligible. All works must be no larger than 50” x 50” x 50” and be installation ready, 2-D work must be framed or professionally mounted and ready to hang.
Artists are asked to enter work that responds to the title of the exhibit, A Climate of Change. Responses dealing with environmental, political and social change are encouraged but not required.

Juror: Juried by Michael Marshall, Department Chair of University of Hawai’i at Hilo Art Department. Michael Marshall was born in St. Louis, Missouri and attended the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, IL, BFA 1975; Yale University, New Haven, CT, MFA 1977. Professor Marshall has taught fulltime at the University of Hawaii at Hilo since 1984 and currently serves as Chair, the Art and Performing Art Departments and East Hawaii Cultural Center Executive Director.
Hawai'i State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, Arts Advisory Selection Committee has approved and scheduled a visit to A Climate of Change to review works for possible purchase for the Arts in Pubic Places Collection.
Shipping: Complete shipping instructions will be sent with the acceptance notification to the artist. Artists are responsible for shipping costs both to and from the Gallery and must provide a prepaid return shipping label, UPS or FedEx account number or credit card information for return shipping. Artwork will be returned in the packaging in which it was received.
Entry deadline: March 13th, 2017
Notification of accepted works: March 23rd, 2017
Arrival of work at Kahilu Theatre: April 3rd, 2017
Opening Reception: April 7th 4:30-7:00 pm
