Kamuela (HI)—One of the youngest and most talented virtuoso guitarists in the world, Ana Vidovic from Croatia, will perform at the Kahilu Theatre Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 7 pm.

Ana Vidovic, an extraordinary talent with formidable gifts, is taking her place amongst the elite musicians of the world today. Born and raised in the small town of Karlovac near Zagreb, Croatia, she began performing locally at the age of 7 and internationally at the age of 11. Her international performance career includes recitals in New York, London, Paris, Vienna, Salzburg, Rome, Budapest, Warsaw, Tel Aviv, Oslo, Copenhagen, Toronto, Baltimore, San Francisco, Houston, Austin, Dallas, St. Louis and beyond. Ms. Vidovic continues to broaden her repertoire and captivates audiences around the world.

Ms. Vidovic has won an impressive number of prizes and international competitions throughout her career, including first prizes in the Albert Augustine International Competition in Bath, England, the Fernando Sor competition in Rome, Italy and the Francisco Tarrega competition in Benicasim, Spain. In Croatia, she has performed with the Zagreb Soloists and the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra of the Croatian Radio and Television, as well as having been featured in three television documentaries by the eminent Croatian film director Petar Krelja.

"It is difficult to know where to begin when discussing the enormous talents of Ana Vidovic. Her dynamic range, beauty of sound, precision of articulation and virtuosity are such that listening becomes more of an absolute musical experience...with no apparent technical limitation and a musical maturity that belies her age, Ms. Vidovic is in a position to do great things with the classical guitar."
-Stephen Griesgraber, Guitar Review
